The Visagraph is a recording system that accurately measures eye movements during reading by using infrared sensors in a pair of goggles that is connected to and analysed by a computer.

The results from the assessment gives us a huge amount of information about the movement of the eyes, which otherwise would never have been revealed. They show an illustration of the left and the right eye movements, the amount of fixations, the amount of regressions, the average span of word recognition, the average time of fixations, reading words per minute, directional attack, eye anomalies, number of saccades, results of comprehension and the grade level efficiency.

From the assessment, we are able to give recommendations as to how the child’s reading ability can be improved and prescribe a tailored program to tackle deficiencies in visual functioning, perception and cognition.
